North to Alaska

Alaska this summer has been really wonderful. Almost the whole time we have had beautiful weather. In fact, today it is 78 degrees-and WOW its hot!! I am just so glad that I can be outside working on a day like this. I wish that it would be this nice on my next day off! Each week some friends and I go camping for the night. We pack up a dinner, a tent, and our sleeping bags and head out somewhere in this great wilderness. The past 2 weeks we have been going out to Dyea flats. Dyea is the real start of the Chilkoot Trail. We go out onto the flats and set up camp, thankfully the Salmon isn't running up the streams yet or there would be bears all over. On the other side, I wish the Salmon were running then I could catch some nice dinner. That next morning we roomies and I tried a little fishing. We unfortunately didn't catch anything...sad day. next time, hopefully
