We had many opportunities to dress up this year. On Friday was a party at a friends, it was a little lame though. Saturday we went to a friends and went out trick or treating with the kids!

Halloween Greek Style
for a while now all of the 5th grade teachers I work with have been brainstorming ideas of what to be for Halloween...one random day Tonya said Greek goddesses!! we all loved the idea. Of course being in Vegas there are 3 costume stores down the street and we found some great costumes at a cheaper price then normal(which was great!). I'm blessed to work at a wonderful school that lets you do things your way and the students have a blast. They were allowed to dress up all day and experience different Halloween related activities in each class. I had carved a pumpkin and carved a kooky face in it and we experimented with dry ice and observed its chemical reactions(perfect timing too, that's exactly what I'm teaching). They made up ghost stories in writing and learned about the history of Halloween. An hour before the end of the day we had a Halloween Party...so grateful for the parent help. We played pin the nose on the pumpkin! ha ha so funny my students are too smart for the game they all figured out a strategy and placed the nose on the right spot every time. That night we had a trunk or treat where Leah and I decorated my car and handed out candy while we froze!
